Hi! My name is Sabrina Dvorak, and I'm the founder of EHC. I'm a mother of 22-year-old twin boys in college and have a daughter who is 5! I always wanted twin boys and a little girl; I just never thought I'd have the boys at age 23 and my little girl at age 42! What a gift.

However, about 5 years ago, I felt so tired, cold, and overweight that I could barely function. I had my thyroid health tested for 3 years in a row with those symptoms, and the doctors continued to tell me my thyroid was normal. Finally, on the 4th year of testing, my thyroid was abnormal, and they could treat me with Synthroid. I RAN to the pharmacy, so excited to have my prescription. At my 6-week lab check, my thyroid was normal, but I continued to experience ALL the symptoms; in fact, I had gained weight!!!

I went to a functional medicine clinic, and after comprehensive testing, I discovered I had a gut infection, elevated lipid panels, and my hormones were almost in menopause range! I would have never been able to have my daughter without this knowledge. After all the treatment, my thyroid returned to normal, and my symptoms disappeared! I felt the best I have ever felt.

The functional medicine approach resonated with me as a patient and, most importantly, as a provider. I learned how to stay healthy through holistic healing principles, allowing me to have the energy I need to be my best self, for me and my children.

With hundreds of hours in post-graduate training and years of experience in functional medicine and conventional medicine, my scope of practice as a nurse practitioner is not limited. I can prescribe and diagnose just like a medical doctor. My mission is to help you understand the root cause of your illness and reverse it using advanced testing, pharmaceuticals, and herbal medicine. I am compassionate, organized, and have a high understanding of the body, mind, and spirit to assist patients in achieving optimal health.
