My story began by becoming a fitness instructor, which exposed me to the importance of nutrition in achieving good health. I went on to earn a master’s degree in nutrition at Colorado State University. Through my own health journey with an autoimmune disease, I discovered the world of functional medicine. That inspired me to further my education and become a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner, a program that teaches how to incorporate lab testing to guide healing opportunities by exploring the “metabolic chaos” that causes imbalance in our bodies. Our motto is “Test! Don’t guess!” We now live in a time where the evidence that we need to take better care of our bodies and improve our immune system is greater than ever before. My passion for nutrition and my compassion for others are combined to help guide you to a healthier lifestyle. Beyond my passion for nutrition, as a blessed native of Colorado, I love being outdoors in the beautiful mountains, playing volleyball, and spending time with my family and friends.

Sabrina has been in health care for over 20 years. She attended Kansas University Medical Center and worked as a RN in the intensive care unit, pre-surgery and post surgery departments. She has worked in hospitals, outpatient surgery centers and clinics.
After seeing patients continue to get more sick over the years, she decided she needed to be in a preventative role and she became a Family Nurse Practitioner graduating from Regis University Summa Cum Laude.
She intuitively knew just prescribing medications to treat symptoms was not the answer and has taken many classes, including all the Institute of Functional Medicine classes. She attends many workshops and conferences including the International Society of Environmentally Acquired Illness, or ISEAI, to look for "root causes" of symptoms.
She uses a Functional Medicine approach using Evidenced Based Medicine to help understand why you feel the way you do, and reverse the cause of your illness using pharmaceuticals and/or herbal medicine and advanced testing.
Her understanding of the body, mind and spirit with her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Reiki therapist and Certified Massage Therapist, can help bring you back to your True Self. It is truly her life passion to help each patient individually be the best they can be!

I’ve always been a passionately curious and creative individual and wanted a life that was unique and ‘out of the ordinary’. And it was this desire and eagerness to experience life that took me around the world from a young age. In 2009, I decided to follow my heart back to South Africa and lived there for 14 years. It was the “wild-ness” and adventure that brought me to this beautiful country and I had my heart set on becoming a safari guide and taking people from around the world on unique, once in a lifetime experiences in the African Bushveld.
After several years in the bush, my curiosity, creativity and love of learning took me on a new journey… a journey to develop my photography skills. And in 2013, I opened up a photography business and photographed families and children for about 8 years.
Then in 2021, I was at a crossroads and decided it was time for a change. When I looked back at my life and all of my adventures and life experiences, I realized that one thing was constant throughout and that was functional medicine.
I was fortunate enough to start learning about functional medicine at the age of 25 and really started honing in on my lifestyle. After my car accident back in 1997 that left me with a broken back, I developed some bowel/skin issues that were most certainly due to all the medications, treatment, etc. and consider myself fortunate in a lot of ways but mostly in having an open mind to the functional medicine ‘way’.
I obtained my functional medicine health coaching certification through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (in collaboration with IFM) - considered the gold standard in coaching programs. And am currently studying for the National Board Exam taking place in early March.
I learned at a young age that life is precious and that it is entirely up to us to determine what kind of life we choose to live. We can choose to let our obstacles consume us or we can look at them as life experiences and opportunities for growth.
